Jessie asked:
I want to still be able to eat pancakes for breakfast and a homemade hamburger or something and to be honest I am officially tired of special dieting. I can’t stand counting calories all day or doing this “zone” diet. I’m still a teenager. I want to be able to eat healthy and still look healthy and not overweight. This diet stuff is not making me happy and is making me pretty depressed. Which makes me snack more. Help please! What should I do?

Dieting alone is not effective. You need to be active and actually burn that fat through physical activity.

i been on a diet for 6 months and there is ways to still be in shape. Eat pankcakes but eat the bisquick healthy they taste the same as regular pancakes. The main thing don’t over eat and don’t eat to much junk food also excercise and u won’t gain weight.

To be honest, the best thing you can do is eat balanced meals (not too much snacking) and stay away from soda. Also, getting 30 minutes of moderate exercise per day will help keep off those unwanted pounds and boost your self-esteem. Walking at a brisk pace or running will do this, or lift weights. Even visiting a mall and actively window shopping is enough to burn calories!
I know from exerience. I lost between 3-5 pounds after beginning to watch what I eat and another 2 after integrating daily exercise into my life. I now work out about 1 and a half hours a day and feel great about myself.

heres the trick…..get your heart rate up for 20 minutes a day . thats really all it takes but most people NEVER do that because its uncomfortable at first. you need to go for a jog or do something that really gets your heart beating fast and keep it beating fast for at least 20 minutes. this is how your body burns off excess calories.
you still cant eat like a pig but you can eat normally even if you have a tendency to gain weight. you should be able to eat a hamburger EVERYDAY plus a few junky snacks.i do and i am not overweight at all ,at one time i started to get that way but i started making sure to get a 20 minute “workout” in everyday and now i maintain a steady weight, i actually eat really terrible haha but hey i like eating!! as long as you burn it off your alright.

ur right …dieting can make u feel miserable and end up making u eat more because u feel deprived
if u choose the right foods and have a treat now and then and most importantly only east when u are genuinely hungry then u wont put on weight
regular exercise also means u can have the occasional treat
dont bother counting calories…thats just head wrecking
i wudnt eat pancakes EVERY morning but occasionally
eat foods that are low in saturated fat
basically plenty of salads, fruit veg etc
dont worry too much about ur weight and please stop dieting…..east sensibly and exercise and ull be fine
good luck
