i dont know how many lbs kgs are but even if he isn’t overweight healthy eating habbits start at a young age.

  2. David A Says:

just feed him the right foods that u think are good for him like more vegetables and less snacks. if u dont do anything sooner it will be harder for him in the future to control his wait and could be hard for u. u can make him join a sport like football, hockey, basketball or soccer to get him active. once he is active at a young age it is more likely he would be active at an older age which can make him more healthy and u wont regret it

    Hi,
I have the same problem with yours. I make a blog for sharing all my experience about this problem. My blog is researched carefully and clearly .

Nothing intense. Just make sure he eats healthy. Make sure he gets plenty of meats, fruits, veggies, calcium and dairy.
He could join a local sport team, which is not only good for health but for socialising.
    How tall is he?

I would recommend you controlling junk food like chips and snacks (don’t bring into house), and replace with fresh fruit and vegetables. Also eliminate and don’t bring in soda replacing with water and go strictly to low-fat milk.

    STOP BREAST-FEEDING HIM!!!

well depends on how tall he is, if he has broad shoulders or not, and if his parents and relatives were also heavy.

even so, he should not not eat, as eating is important for young boys.

perhaps if he is eating a lot of unhealthy food like chips, or drinking coke and “juice” (i put juice in “inverted” because some juices are basically flavour, colouring and sugar mixed) and flavoured milk, then he should cut down on it. if he rarely does these things, then dont worry so much, but if it is on a daily basis, a can of coke, a packet of chips, etc etc then you should start controling the amount going into his mouth.

But, not so much a “diet” should be done. yes, he should work on his diet but no, he shouldnt cut down on food intake. Try changing the chips to apples and other vegetables, the coke to water. even energy drinks are a little better than coke. but if he refuses to drink plain water, try flavoured water or plain old milk.

but then, this is coming from me, who also weighs 40kgs. you can guess my age, im not saying, though, i am a girl. Im not on any sort of diet, i enjoy eating both healthyly and unhealthyly, but i tend to eat more offen vegetables and fruit. though, the occasional sugary lolly is terribly nice.

apart from changing his diet, he could do swimming, swimming 1km is 4 times as effective as running 1km. soccer, football, basketball, the sports are endless.

don’t worry about your sons weight…well as long as he isn’t chubby looking…BUT since he hasnt gone through puberty yet, id advise you to not do anything…diet programs don’t work and youll probably teach him that he should be underweight and he will suffer the consequences later in life. he’s 8, let him be a kid!
